Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
Guests often appreciate the recently refurbished rooms, some boasting nice mountain views from the balcony. The underground parking offers convenient access, and the hotel's location is within easy walking distance of downtown shopping and restaurants around Banff Avenue, as well as the Bow River trails. The pool, sauna, and hot tub are generally well-received, though some have found the exercise room to be a bit small and hot due to its proximity to the pool area. Banff Park Lodge serves as a convenient base for exploring nearby attractions such as Sulphur Mountain and the Columbia Ice Fields.

average stay but checkout was rushed

convenient locationrushed checkoutlack of consideration
the hotel location provided convenient access to many restaurants. it was just a short walk.
The checkout process felt unusually rushed. staff started knocking on my door at 11:00 am, and different people returned every five minutes to remind me about the 11:00 am checkout time. i have never been rushed out of a hotel room this way. i left at 11:15 am but i felt annoyed by their actions. It's hard to double-check everything with that kind of pressure, no consideration at all. checkout at most hotels is 12:00 pm. sigh.

My room was recently renovated and looked fantastic. The pool area included both hot tubs and a steam room, and I appreciated this amenity after a day outdoors. I also found the location convenient. It was easy to walk to nearby restaurants. The updated bathroom came with a coffee maker and kettle, so I could prepare beverages in my room.
It caused a minor inconvenience.
